Other Notes | According to AnyConnect, The Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 it the 5G enabled, top of the line smartphone chip from Qualcomm in 2020. It has an extremely powerful Hexagon AI Accelerator, to run a lot of AI models concurrently at high resolution and has a fantastic ISP that can accommodate extremely high definition imagers with great image enhancement like HDR. The problem with a chip like that is that making a product with it is very expensive. Your NREs are very high, cellular certifications as well, and you have to know your RF very well to be able to manage all the latest Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTe/5G sub 6Ghz, and 5G millimetric. I’m not even speaking about the cost of certifying such a system with operators. For that reason, Qualcomm is offering this chip as a pre-certified module. It enables you to make products faster and cheaper with the very top of the range from Qualcomm, with leading AI Acceleration. AnyConnect recommends this approach. |
